Once upon a time a poor farmer was living in a village with his family. One day he found a hen in his field. He took the hen and takes her to the home.
Unlike other hens, this hen was special, she laid golden eggs.
Next morning, the hen laid a shining golden egg.
Farmer was surprised to see the golden egg. He took the egg and sold the egg to the market.
Now every day hen was giving a beautiful golden egg. Soon, the farmer becomes rich.
One day farmer was going out of the village for some work. He asked his wife to collect the egg from the hen each morning.
Farmer’s wife was very greedy.
Farmer is foolish; he waits for the whole day for one egg. There must be lots of golden eggs inside the hen’s stomach. It’s better to collect all the eggs at once and enjoy for the rest of the life; she thought.
So next day she took a sharp knife and cut the hen’s stomach. But she didn’t get even a single egg inside the stomach.
Farmer’s wife not only lost the golden egg but also the hen who laid golden eggs; because of her greed.
